Rich History
Hotel de Heerlickheijd van Ermelo was built by the van den Tweel group and opened on October 15th, 1999 by the Queen's commisioner of the Province of Gelderland, Jan Kamminga. At he time he said, “Ermelo has acquired another fairytale, an asset for Gelderland” and praised the initiative of the active entrepreneur Gerard van den Tweel. Now, after the acquisition by Wim Snellaars and Janette Sybrandy, Mr van den Tweel remains an advisor to the Heerlickheijd.
